Vermillion Sky….and other fabulous horizons.

My favorite thing is taking in amazing sunsets. When I see them, I just can’t help but to take a picture of it so I can capture it for all time. Most of the time, I am only armed with my iPhone, therefore the quality may be compromised in uploading some of the images to this site.

Not all the pictures I am sharing are of sunsets but they are of moments I found myself absolutely breathless and, in that moment, I found peace! If for just one moment I could just forget all of life’s stress and just drift away into that beautiful dream. It always stops me in my tracks and I have to confess, I have probably risked near death at times when I could not pull the car over to take that pic. (I know I’m not the only one ya’ll :))

There are even times where I could swear it was meant for me, like God was letting me know something. I know not everyone shares my views on that topic, but I know that on some supernatural level, everyone has felt like they were meant to see it. Maybe you have had a hard day, week, month, or year and in that one moment the sky glows for you, speaking to you, telling you that everything will be ok. Telling you that you are special, not to worry, and here’s your moment of peace.

Its almost Zen-like. Like nothing else in the world matters and for that moment we are whisked away, on a cloud, drifting through the mirage of color and into serenity. My love affair with our celestial sphere is not unique though. It is shared by many. I just hope that one day I will be the kind of photographer that can truly capture the exquisite reverence we are so blessed to be inspired by.

I encourage you to share your love for sunsets as I for one never get tired of looking at them. 🙂

As always, thank you for visiting. I do try to post more often but……life!
