Just me and my Journey, Life, photography, Uncategorized

I’m just getting my feet wet.

I am now 7 weeks into my photography course. I have learned so much in the last 7 weeks, mostly through trial and error. I have learned how to frame picture better before I take it. I have learned that I will suffer later if I don’t make sure my lens is dust free (not to mention, waste money). I have learned that B&W film is unforgiving! I have also learned that what I used to think was a “fun photo” (thanks to the overused delete button on our cell phones and digital cameras) is now reconsidered and a work of art is preferred.

I have grown since taking this course and as an extremely amateur photographer, still, I continue to grow and learn. Might I, again, suggest that if you have interest in photography, do not skip the, what some call obsolete, basic B&W film class.

Through this process of self discovery, I have really started to tap into my creative side. Something I thought was amiss all these years. I mean, I’m a singer and my Mom is one of the most talented and creative people I know, but somehow I thought I was absent the day that creative gene was passed down! But when you quit the things that are sucking your soul dry and focus on things that interest you, it is amazing what could come from them. I pray and dream this passion I have only grows and continues to flourish.

God has set me on this path and I have faith that, with his guidance, it will lead to an unbelievable future. He has a plan for me! I wanted to share the latest of my photography. As always, as a student, I welcome comments, suggestions, or critiques. I can only learn from them. 🙂

This is just the beginning of what I want to do. I have so many ideas and I want to accomplish all of them. Who says you can’t? Only your mind…….Follow your heart!
